Biography
Emilia Vidali stepped in front of the camera when Italian cinema was still inventing itself. In 1913 she saluted as the spirited leading lady of *The Two Sergeants*, and nine years later she reappeared in the nation’s first colossal literary adaptation, *I promessi sposi* (1922). Between those milestones she slipped into the tragic corridors of *Amore e destino* (1923), leaving a trail of performances that flicker like nitrate ghosts—brief, bright, and unforgettable.
