Biography
Omaha, Nebraska, greeted Eva Thatcher’s arrival on 14 March 1862, and by the early 1910s she had traded prairie quiet for flickering klieg lights. Between 1914’s cliff-hanging serial Lucille Love: The Girl of Mystery and the matrimonial farce A Friendly Husband (1923), she carved out a screen persona as sharp as it was comic, capping the silent era with the courtroom drama The Law Forbids (1924). Half a century after her Midwestern start, she took her final bow in Los Angeles, California, on 28 September 1942.
