Biography
Komárom welcomed Ferenc Ráskai on 23 November 1883, and from that Danube-bordering town he would travel toward footlights and flicker-projector beams. Between the pages he wrote and the characters he embodied, Ráskai left his clearest footprint in the 1914 silent fantasy A hercegnö pongyolája, where audiences first saw his screen-borne charisma. Nearly three decades after his debut, the curtain rang down for good on 30 October 1942 in Budapest, the city that had become his creative home.
