Biography
Frank Borzage entered the world on 23 April 1894 amid the mountain-ringed quiet of Salt Lake City, Utah, and spent the next six decades turning human longing into luminous screen poetry. Beginning as a lantern-jawed silent-era actor, he swiftly stepped behind the camera, crafting emotional symphonies that moved audiences to tears and Oscars voters to vote: 7th Heaven soared in 1927, Bad Girl seduced 1931, and No Greater Glory stormed 1934. Off-set, three women—Juanita Scott, Edna Skelton, and Rena Rogers—shared his life in turn. The lights dimmed for good on 19 June 1962 in Hollywood, but the glow he left on film still flickers.
