Biography
Dayton, Ohio, 15 August 1856: the curtain rose on Frank Daniels. By 1915 he had traded the Midwest for flickering celluloid, slipping effortlessly from stage boards to screen close-ups in Crooky and the same year’s comedy hit What Happened to Father. Three years later he sparked again as the fast-talking heroine of Flare-Up Sal. Off-camera he shared his life—and spotlights—with fellow performer Elizabeth Sanson. The final fade-out came on 12 January 1935, in sun-washed West Palm Beach, Florida, but the reels he left behind keep the applause rolling.
