Biography
Jersey, 22 December 1885: a small-island boy arrived with ink in his veins and greasepaint in his pocket. By the early thirties he had slipped onto the screen, scripting Clara Gibbings, pacing The Streets of London, and shaping Heritage, all within three brisk years. Off-set he answered to Rosamund McMillan’s ring, and off-stage he eventually drifted to Sydney, where the curtain fell for good on 10 October 1965.
