Biography
Florence, 1892: the city’s terracotta rooftops welcomed Guido Colucci into the world. By twenty-three he had slipped in front of the camera, lending his face to the one-reel riddles of *The Mystery of Room 13* (1915). A year later he stepped into romantic sovereignty for *When Love Is King* (1916), and in 1917 he plumbed darker desires in *The Master Passion*. After the flicker of silent fame, he slipped quietly across borders, settling in Paris, where he lived out six unhurried decades until his final curtain in 1974.
