Biography
Guido Petrungaro stepped before the camera early in Italy’s silent era, leaving a slender but indelible trail: he anchored the 1914 jungle fantasy “Iwna, la perla del Gange,” slipped into period dress for 1915’s nostalgia-laden “Altri tempi,” and capped the decade as the doomed lover of 1918’s “Muoio per lei!”—three films that still whisper his name across the flicker of a century.
