Biography
A son of Pennsylvania coal country, J. Morris Foster first drew breath in Foxbert on 9 September 1881. Between 1915 and 1917 he slipped in front of cameras just long enough to leave three celluloid footprints—*The Bridal Bouquet*, *The Secret Man*, and *The Gray Ghost*—then stepped back into private life as Mignon Anderson’s husband. Sixty-one springs after leaving Foxbert, he closed his final scene in Burbank, California, on 24 April 1966.
