Biography
Philadelphia welcomed James O’Neill on 21 July 1863, and from that first breath he was destined for the footlights. By 1914 he had stepped before the new-fangled cameras, haunting The Temptations of Satan and masterminding The Million Dollar Robbery in the same whirlwind year. Six years later he lent his seasoned presence to The Whisper Market, sealing a silent-era legacy. The curtain finally fell on 8 October 1938 in Los Angeles, but the flicker of his performances still dances across the screen.
