Biography
Springing to life in Middlebury, Vermont on 22 May 1883, Jane Grey stepped onto the flickering screens of early cinema, leaving vivid footprints in The Little Gray Lady (1914), The Waifs (1916), and Her Fighting Chance (1917). Off-camera she shared her life with two husbands—opera tenor Hugh Whitfield Martin, better known as Riccardo Martin, and later William E. Tyrrel. Her final curtain fell in New York City on 9 November 1944.
