Biography
On a spring morning in 1876, Geneva welcomed Jean Aymé into the world; nearly nine decades later, Paris closed the curtain for him on 17 January 1963. Between those two dates he built a life on stage and celluloid, slipping from the cliff-hanging serial Les Vampires (1915) to the coastal intrigues of The Mystery of the Rocks of Kador (1912) and the aching melodrama of Blessée au coeur (1917), leaving footprints both in front of and behind the camera.
