Biography
Philadelphia welcomed John Lehnberg on 16 April 1883, and the silent screen later welcomed him as well. Between 1914 and 1917 he slipped into the skins of characters for Joseph in the Land of Egypt, A Bird of Prey, and Hinton’s Double, letting his face do the talking in an era before voices were heard. When the cameras finally stopped, he stepped away from the spotlight and lived quietly until 1956.
