Biography
On a crisp November day in 1867, Vienna welcomed Josefine Dora into the world. A stage magnet from the start, she stepped before the camera to embody the tormented title role in *Arme Eva Maria* (1916), enchanted audiences as the eccentric aunt in *The Doll* (1919), and lent quiet strength to *The Love of Jeanne Ney* (1927). Off-screen, her heart marched down the aisle three times—with actor Richard Schultz, operetta librettist Arthur Weinschenk, and finally physician Georg Worlitsch. She spent her last chapter by the Baltic, dying in Kühlungsborn on 28 May 1944, leaving behind a trail of performances that still flicker in cinema memory.
