Biography
Karen Caspersen first drew breath on 20 August 1890 amid the cobbled streets of Copenhagen. Before the cameras she came alive, lending her presence to Blind Justice in 1916, stepping into Dickens’ world for David Copperfield in 1922, and embodying Lille Dorrit two years later. Off-screen she shared her life, first with Johan Caspersen and later with director A.W. Sandberg. She returned forever to the Danish capital on 14 May 1941.
