Biography
Eastbourne, 1876: a seaside wind carried the first cry of Kenneth Douglas across the Sussex promenade. By 1915 that voice had traded salt air for klieg lights, landing him in front of the camera in A Girl of Yesterday, the one film that still whispers his name. Off-screen he claimed Grace Lane as his leading lady, and the two steered their lives across the Atlantic until Manhattan claimed Douglas for good on 16 October 1923.
