A twelve-year-old Lilly Jacobsson slipped through the doors of Svenske Biografteatern in 1911 and spent the next three summers lighting up Scandinavian screens with a freshness no camera could resist. A Copenhagen beauty pageant crown in 1916 carried her straight to Nordisk Film, where directors framed her face like a silent poem through one melodrama after another.
