Biography
Mosside, Lancashire, 1864: the year a mill town welcomed a girl who would trade cotton dust for greasepaint. As Margery Bonney Erskine, she stepped before the camera in the flicker-happy dawn of British cinema, animating A Tudor Princess (1913), scrambling through Mr. Pickwick’s Predicament (1912), and unlocking The Mystery of Room 13 (1915).
