Biography
The theatrical world welcomed Márton Rátkai on 18 November 1881, in his native Budapest, Hungary. Throughout his distinguished career as an actor, he left an indelible mark on Hungarian cinema, starring in memorable productions like Harrison és Barrison II (1918), A kölcsönkért kastély (1937), and the celebrated Gül Baba (1940). Beyond the footlights, his life was intertwined with three marriages, to Rozália Kalmár, Lucie Labass, and Kornélia Spiegel.
