Biography
Mary Scheller first drew breath on 16 February 1858 amid the Baltic gables of Stralsund, Germany. A stage performer who later leapt into the new world of moving pictures, she left her silhouette on three early classics—Der Doppelgänger (1913), Das Feuer (1914), and The Call of the Child (1914). Her final curtain fell on 17 April 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, far from the salt winds of her birthplace.
