Biography
Before the talkies ever cleared their throats, M.E. Hannefy had already slipped through history’s keyhole: in 1912 he stalked Sherwood’s greenwood for Robin Hood, slipped inside Jerusalem’s gates for The Holy City, then chased Longfellow’s heartbroken heroine across two more years to bring Evangeline to the screen in 1914.
