Biography
Long before talkies took over, Barcelona-born Miguel Mas slipped into the silent spotlight three times: first as the face of *El signo de la tribu* in 1914, then twice resurrecting his comic dancer Cipriano for *Cipriano, bailarín a pesar suyo* and *El monedero de Cipriano*, both released in the feverish spring of 1917.
