Biography
A crisp autumn day—19 October 1883—marked the first breath of Olive Templeton, a performer whose quiet magnetism would flicker across two generations of screens. Between the scandalous urgency of Damaged Goods (1914) and the shadow-play intrigue of An Innocent Thief (1915), she carved a niche in silent-era memory, only to reappear four decades later on the fledgling medium of television in Camera Three (1954). Off-camera, she shared her life with fellow actor John L. Flannery. After nine-and-a-half decades of stories—some captured on celluloid, many held in private—her final curtain fell on 29 May 1979 in New York City.
