On 2 June 1891, Altlandsberg, Germany, welcomed Rose Veldtkirch into the world; by the time the reels stopped spinning half a century later, she had slipped into cinema history through three early classics—*Der Tunnel* (1915), *Der Sohn der Magd* (1919), and *Der Mann mit den drei Frauen* (1920). Her final curtain fell on 27 September 1971 in Vigarello, Ticino, Switzerland.
