Biography
A century before binge-watching, Seville-born Silvina Cobo stepped into the flicker of early Spanish cinema and became the haunted heart of Amalia (1914), the country’s first full-length feature. The cameras were hand-cranked, the stock was brittle, the lights were merciless, yet her performance—equal parts porcelain fragility and flamenco fire—survives inside that single surviving nitrate reel, a ghost still breathing in the dark.
