Biography
Turin, 4 December 1872: the city’s winter fog parted long enough for Tina Di Lorenzo to take her first breath. Within decades she would step before the new-fangled movie camera, animating three 1915 releases—The Gorgona, La scintilla, and La bella mamma—with a charisma that leapt off nitrate and into the minds of early filmgoers. Off-screen, she shared her life with fellow performer Armando Falconi. Milan eventually claimed her final curtain on 25 March 1930, closing a life lived between stage lights and silver screens.
