Biography
A winter baby delivered in Paducah, Kentucky on 28 February 1889, Victor Sutherland grew up to trade small-town quiet for the flicker of silent-era spotlights. Moviegoers first noticed him in The Unchastened Woman (1918), later caught him romancing across The Love Bandit (1924), and—three decades on—saw him saddle up in Lone Star (1952). Off-screen, he collected wedding rings the way some men collect watches: Anne Hamilton, Faye Cusick, serial-queen Pearl White, and finally Linda Barrett all shared his last name at one time. The final curtain fell in Hollywood, California on 29 August 1968, closing a life that had spanned barnstorming theatre, flickering nitrate, and the dawn of television.
