Biography
Born on September 23, 1906, in the Scottish town of Ayr, Walter McEwen eventually ventured far from his Ayrshire roots to carve out a career in the early film industry. As an actor of the silent era, he is best remembered for his contributions to 'The Ventures of Marguerite' (1915), 'The Land of Promise' (1917), and the 1918 production 'The Prussian Cur'. After a long life that witnessed the transformation of Hollywood, McEwen passed away on April 15, 1986, in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles.
