Biography
A cornerstone of early cinema, Albert Capellani was born in the heart of Paris on August 23, 1874. Throughout his prolific career as a director and scenarist, he shaped the silent screen with works such as 1917’s The Easiest Way and the 1919 features Oh Boy! and The Virtuous Model. After a life dedicated to the craft of visual storytelling, he drew his final breath in Paris on September 26, 1931.
