Biography

Born in Virginia in 1869, A.M. Williamson grew up to spin adventures that leapt from the page to the silver screen. His serial thrillers—The Scarlet Runner in 1916, the romantic caper Honeymoon Hate a decade later, and the exotic El príncipe gondolero in 1931—turned train journeys and cinema seats into front-row tickets to danger and desire. Off the page, he shared life and storylines with fellow novelist C.N. Williamson. He closed his final chapter on 24 September 1933 in Bath, Somerset, leaving behind plots that still race ahead of their time.
