Biography
Arthur C. Aiston first drew breath on 30 August 1868 amid the quiet Berkshire hills of South Lee, Massachusetts. Years later, he would trade New England greenery for the glow of nickelodeons, scripting the 1914 one-reel drama *At the Cross Roads*. Off-screen, two marriages—first to Estha Williams, later to Jane Cochrane—framed his private narrative. His final scene played out on 27 February 1924, the Manhattan skyline outside his window, as the author closed the book on a life lived between ink and celluloid.
