Biography
Austin, Texas, greeted the New Year of 1880 by welcoming Catherine Carr into the world. She grew into a storyteller whose pen conjured silent-era intrigue: audiences felt the vendetta of The Corsican Brothers in 1920, pondered scientific wonder in 1918’s The Atom, and wrestled with desire through 1916’s Temptation and the Man. Sixty-one years after that first Texas sunrise, Hollywood’s winter claimed her final breath on 18 January 1941.
