Biography
Born in Komárom on 23 November 1883, while the Habsburg monarchy still stitched Europe together, Ferenc Ráskai grew into a man who could slip between words and worlds. In 1914 he stepped before the camera for *A hercegnö pongyolája*, trading the silent flicker of early film for the quieter glow of ink on paper once the set lights dimmed. Budapest claimed him finally on 30 October 1942, closing the curtain on a life lived in stories—some projected, some penned, all his own.
