Biography
On 22 June 1879, Beverly, Massachusetts, welcomed Porter Emerson Browne into the world; by 20 September 1934, Norwalk, Connecticut, closed the book on his story. Between those dates he spun words into plays and screenplays, gifting the silent era A Fool There Was (1915), Too Many Millions (1918), and the roaring twenties The Seventh Day (1922). Off the page, he shared life and art with actress-playwright Myrtle Suzanne May.
