Biography
Hailing from the Pomeranian town of Neu Grape—modern-day Nowe Chrapowo, Poland—Richard Voß was born on September 2, 1851. A prolific man of letters, his narratives found their way onto the silver screen during the silent era, most notably with the 1913 productions 'Schuldig' and 'Eva,' and the 1914 drama 'Alexandra.' He was wed to Melanie von Glenck, a union that lasted until his passing on June 10, 1918, in the Bavarian retreat of Berchtesgaden.
