Atlanta, Georgia, 22 May 1867: the starting frame of Charles M. Seay’s life. Behind the camera he became a yarn-spinner of the silent era, guiding audiences through the Yukon drifts of *Jan of the Big Snows* (1922), the marital merry-go-round of *The Everlasting Triangle* (1914), and the pocket-change mystery *The Missing Twenty-Five Dollars* (1914). Off-screen, Grace Beatrice Ballou shared his title card as wife. The final reel rolled on 12 November 1944 in Palestine, Texas, where the credits faded to black.
