Biography
California-born on December 1, 1875, Edward A. Salisbury was a visionary who bridged the gap between exploration and the silver screen. As both director and producer, he brought the rugged spirit of the frontier to audiences with Wild Life of America in Films (1915) and later ventured into the enigmatic realms of The Lost Empire (1929) and Gow (1931). His journey through the golden age of cinema concluded in Santa Barbara, where he died on July 17, 1962.
