Biography
[ "A native of Montreal, Frederick A. Thomson—not to be mistaken for the cowboy icon of the same name—transitioned to cinema after a robust 20-year career as a stage actor and producer. He became a staple at Vitagraph, where he was celebrated as a veteran director who occasionally stepped into the frame to act. His work behind the camera concluded in 1921, and after appearing in the 1922 United Artists film A Tailor-Made Man, he exited the cinematic stage for good. He passed away in Hollywood in 1925 at the age of 55 due to heart complications." ]
