Biography
Turin, 7 June 1879: Pier Antonio Gariazzo enters the world in the same city whose alleys and arcades will later frame his final exit on 10 January 1964. Between those two bookends he crafts stories on celluloid—first thundering across the screen with the patriotic epic *Germania* in 1914, then resurrecting antiquity in the colossal *After Six Days* (1920), and finally casting moral shadows in 1923’s *Arme Sünderin*. Director, scenarist, Piedmontese to the last breath.
