Biography
On the last day of June 1880, New York City greeted Sherwood MacDonald’s arrival; nearly eighty-eight years later, Canoga Park, California, closed the curtain on his life. Between those two dates he shaped silent-era cinema, steering Cold Steel (1921), launching The Sultana (1916), and coaxing laughs from Muggsy (1919). Off-screen, he shared his life with actress Mollie McConnell.
