Adventures of a Ten Mark Note

In the cold, transactional heart of 1920s Berlin, a single ten-mark note, serial number K 13513, becomes an accidental witness to a family’s moral disintegration. Anna, a young working-class woman, proudly presents her first weekly wage to her mother, who seeks to sanctify the meager sum by tucking it within the pages of the family Bible. This gesture of piety is immediately desecrated when her brother, Robert, driven by a desperate, hollow ambition, steals the note to purchase a knife. What follows is a grim, circular odyssey of currency and consequence.
