Café Elektric

Set against the backdrop of a decaying, post-war Vienna, Café Elektric is a stark exploration of the gravitational pull between the elite and the underworld. The narrative weaves the fates of Erni, a wealthy industrialist's daughter seeking excitement, and Hansi, a hardened dance-hall girl. Their lives collide through Ferdl, a charismatic but predatory pickpocket who manipulates Erni’s boredom and Hansi’s desperation. As Erni descends into a world of petty crime and Hansi struggles to escape her cycle of exploitation, the film serves as a grim morality play.
