“El pollo pera” chronicles the culinary misadventures of Chef Anselmo, a well-meaning but utterly inept cook in a quaint Spanish town. Tasked by the formidable local mayor to prepare a dish of profound originality, Anselmo misinterprets the vague instructions, convinced he must create a “pear chicken”—a fowl imbued with the essence of the fruit. His increasingly frantic and bizarre attempts to realize this impossible dish lead to a series of escalating farcical mishaps, involving bemused villagers, uncooperative poultry, and a kitchen that rapidly devolves into utter chaos.
