Gorira

Deep within the uncharted emerald heart of a remote island, a driven primatologist, Dr. Kenji Tanaka (Ryūzaburō Mitsuoka), spearheads an audacious expedition. His singular obsession: to locate and study 'Gorira,' a colossal, legendary ape whispered about in local folklore. Accompanied by the stoic, pragmatic Captain Sato (Tokijiro Kataoka) and the earnest, idealistic Dr. Lena Suzuki (Atsushi Takada), Tanaka’s team navigates a treacherous, ancient jungle. Unbeknownst to them, their scientific quest is shadowed by the ruthless poacher Koga (Ryûnosuke Kumoi), whose mercenary ambition threatens to shatter the fragile peace of the wilderness. As the expedition encroaches upon sacred ground, they encounter a reclusive indigenous community, whose Elder, Aya (Aiko Hanamura), warns of Gorira’s protective fury and the delicate balance of the natural world. The inevitable confrontation between humanity’s ambition and primal force escalates into a harrowing fight for survival, forcing Tanaka to confront the moral complexities of his pursuit and the devastating consequences of disturbing the wild.
