Oh Kay!

In this 1928 silent adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, Colleen Moore stars as Lady Kay, an impoverished English aristocrat who, along with her brother (the Earl of Rutfield), has resorted to bootlegging off the coast of Long Island. When a storm forces them to stash their illegal cargo in the cellar of a vacant beach estate, they think they've found the perfect hideout. However, the owner, Jimmy Winter, returns unexpectedly with a new fiancée in tow, forcing Kay to pose as a housemaid to avoid arrest. What follows is a frantic farce of hidden bottles, suspicious revenue officers, and romantic entanglements that tests Kay’s ability to keep a straight face while lugging crates of gin.
