Say It with Babies

In the frantic world of 'Say It with Babies', Casper (played with rubber-limbed desperation by Glenn Tryon) occupies the unenviable position of a baby expert at a high-volume department store. Far from being an authority figure, Casper is a living plaything, a man whose professional dignity is sacrificed daily to provide slapstick entertainment for a nursery full of judging infants. The narrative shifts from the claustrophobic chaos of the retail floor to the supposed tranquility of the American weekend. Casper, accompanied by his wife and their neighbors—including a wonderfully blustery Oliver Hardy—embarks on a Sunday picnic. What follows is a systematic dismantling of the middle-class 'day of rest.' The journey is a gauntlet of automotive failure and legal entanglements, culminating in a disastrous encounter with a hornet's nest that Casper, in his signature style, manages to aggravate rather than avoid.
