A compelling narrative unfolds as Sid, a suitor of earnest, if unproven, affection, finds his romantic aspirations challenged by a formidable paternal decree. Deemed insufficiently valorous for his beloved's hand, Sid is thrust into a crucible of courage: a perilous big game hunt. Accompanied by a seasoned outdoorsman, the timid protagonist embarks upon a sylvan odyssey, a stark tableau revealing his nascent inexperience. Yet, through an unpredictable confluence of fortune and circumstance, Sid navigates the wilderness with an improbable series of triumphs, emerging from the arboreal depths not merely unscathed, but with a reputation for intrepidity eclipsing even that of his veteran companion. This unexpected vindication paves his return to claim his rightful prize, culminating in a matrimonial affirmation of his newfound, albeit serendipitous, heroism.
Sid is in love with a girl whose father thinks that Sid is not worthy as a husband because of his timidity. Therefore he decides to test his courage by refusing the hand of his daughter until Sid has proved his valor in the hunting of big game. The father sends Sid on a hunting expedition with a friend who is famous as a hunter. They go into the woods where Sid shows plainly the fact that he is a novice but by strange set of circumstances or perhaps through luck alone, he comes out much better than his companion. Going home, he claims the girl and marries her.
