Honestly, only if you have a soft spot for black-and-white mysteries that move at the speed of a polite conversation. If you need explosions or fast cuts, skip it. If you like watching people look suspicious in well-tailored suits, you’re home.
It’s not exactly Marius, is it? There’s a certain stiffness here that makes you feel like you’re watching a stage play through a keyhole. 🕵️♂️
The whole thing feels like it was filmed inside a box. Simone Renant has this way of holding her chin that suggests she knows more than the script ever lets on. Sometimes, she just stares at a door for a few seconds too long.
It’s weirdly hypnotic, even when nothing is happening. I kept waiting for someone to drop a glass or start shouting, but nobody ever really loses their cool.
It reminds me a bit of The Call of the Blood in how it tries to make drama out of thin air. Some of it works, some of it is just people walking around looking serious. 🧐
I caught myself looking at the wallpaper in the background more than the actors. It’s got this weird pattern that distracts from the big reveal. Maybe that was the point? Probably not.
It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s not trying to be. It’s just a movie about a lady being mysterious. And honestly? She’s pretty good at it. The end feels a bit rushed, like the director just wanted to go home for dinner. Can't really blame them.
