Biography
Jersey City welcomed Christine Mayo on Christmas Day, 1883, marking the start of a life destined for the silver screen. A prominent talent of the silent film era, she left an indelible mark with her performances in the 1917 mystery Raffles, the Amateur Cracksman, the 1918 social drama The House of Mirth, and the 1919 production Fair and Warmer.
