Biography
Born under the Indiana sun on 14 May 1875, Terre Haute native Edward Roseman traded small-town streets for the flicker of silent-film dreams. Between 1913 and 1920 he shaped early cinema, slipping from the swagger of Big Hearted Jim to the shadow-laden menace of Fantomas - On the Stroke of Nine and the peril-laced serial The Tiger Woman. Off-screen, he claimed Sophia Anderson as his lifelong scene partner. The curtain fell for good on 16 September 1957 in Syracuse, New York, but the frames he left behind still whisper his name.
